How To Start

The first step to starting at CrossFit Max Effort is scheduling a free “Intro Session”.  This is 45-minute long one-on-one session with a CFME Coach that gives you a chance to learn a lot more about our program and experience a CrossFit workout  It’s purpose is to help us serve you better by getting to know your goals and expectations, current fitness level, and experience.

CrossFit Prep Course

The “CFPC” class is specially designed to prepare you for our ongoing group CrossFit classes. The emphasis is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements, as well as familiarizing you with the concepts and terminology used in CrossFit.

We go over each movement in a slower and more detailed oriented pace than a normal CrossFit class.  This allows for more instructional time and personal attention by coaches during the critical initial learning phase.

Class Structure

The “CFPC” classes are held Monday through Friday at 8:30am and 6:00pm.  In each class, you will warm-up, learn new movements, perform a full CrossFit workout, and usually have a short educational discussion while you stretch and cool down.

A Typical Class:
6:00-6:15 Warm-up & Mobility
6:15-6:35 Movement Instruction
6:35-6:55 Workout
6:55-7:05 Cool Down & Stretch, Concepts Discussion

Areas Of Focus During the “CFPC”:

  1. Fitness - Stabilization comes first; followed by strength, flexibility, stamina, endurance, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy. The movements and exercises we use combine bodyweight calisthenics with weightlifting and cardiovascular exercise. The movements we teach are functional (they mimic movements found in real life and sports), and our workouts are fun (once you’re finished) and varied so that your body always has a reason to make an adaptation.
  2. Nutrition - From losing weight to peak performance, what you eat is responsible for at least 60% of the results in your training. We’ll work with you on developing a unique nutrition program that actually works with your life with emphasis in areas like eating habits, food choices, shopping, planning and preparation, snacks, and dining out.
  3. Reconditioning - Maybe you’ve spent years focused on your career and work, and neglected your health and body. Maybe you’ve had a nagging injury that has kept you from doing the things you really want to do. It’s time for a change! This is a gradual and systematic process that we guide you through to regain your flexibility, range of motion, strength, and coordination.
  4. Motivation / Accountability – Do you follow through? Are you good for a couple weeks only to find that you can’t keep it up? Do you continually get good results and performance increases or do you find yourself stuck, stagnant, or maybe even moving backwards? Can you push yourself when the work becomes hard? These are some of the many questions we help you answer!
