July 4th Schedule

This Wednesday, July 4th will have a restricted class schedule:

  • 8:30am Prep Course
  • 12pm CrossFit
  • 4pm CrossFit and Power Hour
  • 6pm Prep Course

Please plan your training accordingly!

Also, THIS Saturday (July 7th) is our 1 Year Anniversary/Member Appreciation BBQ at Paseo Verde Park (click for a link to Google Maps).  You’ll regret not being there!

Community in CrossFit

No two CrossFit gyms are alike, but I’ve found there is always one common theme:  community.  A certain bond exists between the members and coaches, forged through pains and triumphs, that is hard to find anywhere else.

The type of community at a given gym will depend on the type of people that comprise it.  You can have some gyms who’s main focus is just having fun while working hard (maybe tossing back a few beers after a long workout every now and then).  You’ll see some gyms that lean towards competition.  You’ll have affiliates that are purely professional and just provide a training atmosphere with little or no extra-curricular activities for their athletes outside of workouts.

Whatever type of community your gym has, it will influence the success and atmosphere for everyone who steps through the doors.

What type of community are we?  What type of community do youwant to be?  Is the current community at CFME aiding you in achieving your goals?

Hopefully, we’ll see you at the BBQ this Saturday!
